Open Houses were always a Big Fat Greek Family affair for Sophia Schrup, whose family roots run deep with culture and Real Estate!
As a matter of fact, Sophia began helping her mom with Open Houses at just 16 years old and recalls driving to various homes on Sunday’s after church to visit other relatives who were hosting their open houses throughout The Peninsula! Because Real Estate was such an incessant theme for Sophia growing up, she at a very young age became mindful to the micro markets that make up the Peninsula and its nearby cities.
Sophia was riveted by the very place she called (and still calls) home, The Bay Area, for the competitive nature, opportunistic identity and its means for a melting pot of cultures being able to plant roots, as it paralleled the same attributes she would also find herself epitomizing. Before fully embracing Real Estate, Sophia studied Biological Sciences at Notre Dame de Namur University in hopes to carry out a profession that would fulfill her greatest passion: helping others. During her time working on the clinical or ‘back office’ portion of the dental field however, she found herself gravitating toward the ‘front office’ where she could connect with people interpersonally. Sophia soon found herself procuring patients, while operating and managing the marketing sector of multiple dental offices throughout San Francisco.
Now, Sophia is able to combine her passion for helping people and specialty procuring clients, while using her marketing background as a conduit to fulfill another one of her passions for interior design, doubling as a unique perk to those selling their homes. Sophia and her husband, John Schrup, having gone through the home-searching, home-buying and home-ownership experience themselves, together, understand that buying or selling a home is one of the largest financial and emotional decisions people will ever make in their lifetime — Sophia remains cognizant to her clients needs and continues to intuitively walk people through each transaction empathetically to ensure an enjoyable and seamless experience.
When Sophia is not focused on Real Estate, she is soaking up every moment with her husband, ‘Two under two’ children, Giannis and Ariana, volunteer-coaching basketball at her church and keeping up with all the latest interior design trends!
